About Dr. LInda Brief Biography of Dr. Linda Mintle
Known for her humor and practical advice, Dr. Linda will motivate you to get real and get moving. A national expert on marriage, family and eating issues, her no-nonsense approach to everyday life and conversational style will inspire and uplift.
For over 20 years, Dr. Linda has been in clinical practice as a licensed therapist, having worked in a variety of settings that have earned her several distinctions.
She is an Approved Supervisor and Clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a Diplomat in Social Work, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Staley Distinguished Scholar lecturer to colleges and universities, the resident expert for ABC Familys Living the Life television show, a regular columnist for several national magazines, a frequent radio guest, a national conference speaker and best selling author.
Dr. Linda currently serves on the community faculty of Eastern Virginia Medical School as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics. Previous faculty appointments include Wheaton Colleges Graduate Psychology Department, Regent Universitys School of Psychology and Counseling, the Department of Psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School and the University of South Floridas Florida Mental Health Institute.
Dr. Linda has authored numerous articles and fourteen books: Due out in January 2009 is her latest effort Press Pause

Dr. Linda received her Ph.D. from Old Dominion University in Urban Health Services and Clinical Psychology. She has a Masters degree in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communications, both from Western Michigan University.
Married for 33 years, the mother of two teenagers, Dr. Linda resides in Virginia. She loves to travel, entertain and walk her puppy, Zoe Jolie. |
